Umrah Preparation Checklist

30 days before

• Confirm your Umrah package with the verified partner.
• Passport must be valid for at least 6 months from the date of travel.
• Get your polio and meningitis (ACYW-135) vaccination certificates.
• Book supplementary travel insurance if not included.

15 days before

• Withdraw enough Saudi Riyal for tips, food outside hotel and small purchases.
• Buy or borrow two sets of Ihram (for men) and modest clothing (for women).
• Download offline Qur'an, du'a and prayer-time apps.

3 days before

• Pack unstitched Ihram, comfortable sandals, a light backpack and a refillable water bottle.
• Print the itinerary and hotel confirmations.
• Inform family of your emergency contacts.

Spiritual preparation

Beyond documents, the most valuable preparation is intention. Make sincere tawbah (repentance), settle outstanding dues, and pray Istikharah before finalising the trip.
